Requirements to obtain it

To open a personal or business checking account at INOVACOOP.

Membership as a partner

  • Original valid national ID card (or foreigner ID for non-Colombians).
  • Be of legal age (18+) to hold the product.
  • Fill in the single INOVACOOP membership form.
  • Personal-data handling authorization (Law 1581/2012).
  • Authorization to consult and report to credit bureaus.
  • Payment of the minimum membership social contribution.

AML compliance (SARLAFT / FATCA)

  • Know-Your-Customer form (SARLAFT), duly signed.
  • FATCA / CRS form declaring foreign tax obligations.
  • Written declaration of the lawful source of funds and assets.
  • Two personal and two commercial/family verifiable references.

Legal entities / companies

  • Legal existence & representation certificate under 30 days old.
  • Updated RUT and current shareholder composition.
  • ID of the legal rep and shareholders holding over 5%.
  • Last two (2) years of financial statements signed by rep and accountant.
  • Board minutes authorizing the product opening.

Checking-account specifics

  • Initial deposit from $200,000 (personal) or $500,000 (business).
  • Financial statements or income-tax return for the last fiscal period.
  • No active negative reports at the Superfinanciera or credit bureaus.
  • Select the plan: Basic, Executive or Business.
Documents must be current and original. INOVACOOP may request additional information based on credit or risk analysis for the product.

  3. 3 Sign the contract and personal data authorization.
  4. 4 Make the initial contribution from $50,000 COP in cash, check or transfer.
  5. 5 Get your activated debit card and provisional PIN on the spot.

Account cancellation

Simple, no-cost cancellation.

You can cancel your Checking Account at any INOVACOOP branch with your original ID. Balance refund and destruction of checkbook and debit card are handled in the same visit.
